The Spicy Garlic Sauce with Shrimp was my choice (clearly I love shrimp, and theirs was just succulent!) and he had the beef and broccoli, very well prepared. A few days later we came in for lunch, and had another very satisfying experience, again with Gregory as our excellent waiter. I had the Sweet & Pungeant Shrimp, again just delicious, and hubby had the Mong Beef, another great dish. We came back the next week for dinner again, agreeing to get just one dish and share, but that didn't work out! We realized we hadn't read the whole menu on our first visit, and we found more dishes that we couldn't resist trying. We had enough to take home for the next day. My husband had the Emperor's Choice, a wonderful mix of beef, chicken and shrimp that he thoroughly enjoyed. I got the Royal Shrimp on the waiter's recommendation - Gregory, he was excellent! - and the dish was spicy and flavorful. My husband had hot & sour soup that he thought was about the best he had ever had. We started with egg rolls, which were crispy and. I hope in the near future resturants like this will not be allowed to open. But their mindset of customer service is completely wrong and they look down on customers. Also they added that because we were vegetarian and refused to add fish sauce, it was the reasoned why the food was tasting rotten. The food they served was rotten and I spoke to the server about this matter but he didnt apologize and said it was supposed to taste like rotten. I brought my parents, but the owner (the lady manager) treated us very poorly. The workers here were very rude and disrespectful even when you are trying to be understanding and respectful to them. Luckily after a little more back and forth they finally decided to not charge us for the item, but just the whole experience was condescending and crazy to see in the modern restaurant scene. I was taken aback by the sheer balls of this woman, but The Lion, The Witch, and the audacity of this Bit- coming to our table and implying that we were the ones that had no sense of taste left a sour taste in our mouths literally and figuratively. After reading some other reviews, I understand the situation even better. Many reviewers mark that the dishes have adequate prices. If you want to enjoy nice service, you should go to this spot. Most people suppose that the staff is creative here. The great location of this place makes it easy to reach even in rush hours. I waited to leave a review until my annoyance and anger calmed down, but even after sleeping on it, I still feel that the restaurant's staff behavior was way out of line. Monark Asian Bistro has great thai tea or good coffee among its drinks.
